Welcome to the website of Tamika's School of Epicure, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. By using our website and participating in our programs, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

ABOUT US

Tamika's School of Epicure provides cooking education for children and serves the Jacksonville, Florida community through cooking classes, summer camps, and food distribution events.

REGISTRATION AND ATTENDANCE

To enroll your child in a class or program, you must complete our registration form and pay any required fees in advance. Space is limited and registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. By registering your child you confirm that you are their parent or legal guardian.

PROGRAM FEES AND REFUNDS

Apron fee: $26.50 per junior chef. Aprons are required and must be purchased before the first class.

ServSafe registration: $150 per student.

Donations and sponsorships are gratefully accepted to support scholarships and program costs.

Fees are generally non-refundable. If you cannot attend a class for which you have paid, please contact us as soon as possible. We will make reasonable efforts to credit your payment toward a future session if possible.

SAFETY AND CONDUCT

We use real cooking tools, including knives, under the supervision of trained instructors. Students must wear closed-toe shoes at all times. We reserve the right to remove any student from a class if their behavior poses a risk to themselves or others. Parents and guardians are responsible for ensuring their children understand and follow safety instructions.

PHOTO AND VIDEO RELEASE

Parents and guardians sign a separate Photo and Video Release form at enrollment. By signing, you agree to allow us to use photos and video from class for our promotional materials, social media, and grant applications. You may decline to consent and your child may still participate in our programs.

VOLUNTEERS

All staff and volunteers who interact with students must pass a Level 2 background check. Volunteers are subject to the policies and procedures of Tamika's School of Epicure.

DONATIONS

Donations to Tamika's School of Epicure, Inc. are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Our EIN and 501(c)(3) determination letter are available on request. Donations processed through PayPal or Givelify are subject to those providers' terms.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

The content on this website, including text, images, and our logo, is the property of Tamika's School of Epicure, Inc. You may not reproduce or use our content without written permission, except for limited personal use.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

We make reasonable efforts to provide accurate information on our website, but we make no warranties of any kind regarding accuracy or completeness. Participation in our cooking programs is at your own risk and the risk of your child. By enrolling, you acknowledge that cooking involves inherent risks including heat, sharp objects, and food allergens.

GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Duval County, Florida.

CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of our website or participation in our programs after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
